Favorite Gluten Free Food Brands~ Shopping & Saving

Being diagnosed Celiac/gluten intolerant is a hard start.
The first question you are probably going to ask is….”What are you going to eat?” I know I did!
Followed by a common second question…”And where am I suppose to find these items?”

So to help out, I composed a list of my top places to shop and some of the brands I trust.

-— Why I created this list? —-—
If you have been on a gluten-free diet for a while or just starting out, you are probably a little unsure of which items to purchase. And may be over whelmed with the price of gluten-free items.  I know I sure was at first.
I am hoping this list will point you in the right direction and help you SAVE a few dollars along the way.

The products and brands featured on this page are gluten-free to my knowledge, based on company claims and my super sensitive “blood hound” body. My husband and kids claim I can smell gluten in a product and become ill. No kidding! …..I’m super sensitive. This is why even though some foods may be labeled gluten-free foods, they do not pass my sensitivity level, and will not appear on this page. Clear as mud, right?

Some of you may be laughing at me, but I’m sure some of you may have already experienced that famous claim “It’s gluten-free. Eat Me!” product to only find yourself becoming ill a short time later. Ack!  Been there!  Done that!  It’s no fun!  Right???

So please note, my first and for-most concern when choosing products from food companies IS that they are truly gluten-free.
No questionable ingredients!  {i.e.: mystery seasonings, natural flavors, tocopherols, natural gluten ingredients claiming to eliminate the gluten protein through processing}
The brands featured on THIS page are ones that I have tested, fully trust and have come to rely on.

Side note:
* Besides gluten, in the last four years, I have also noticed a sensitivity to certain nuts and also dairy. As if it couldn’t get more complicated.  Just one more thing I have to verify on ingredient listings now. Oh joy!
Anyway, the brands/products showing up on this list may begin to reflect this lifestyle change for me as well.  This will make it really easy for you if you are experiencing the same.
* As always….please double check those ingredients list, as they can change without notice AND always verify the ingredient list based on your individual needs. {ie: dairy-free, nut-free, etc.}.
* I can make no claims to products, but only making this list from my personal life experience.

I will update this list as I find other brands that fit into my lifestyle.
I hope you find this helpful!

If you have any questions about these brands please email or comment below!

~May you all have a happy, healthy and gluten-free day.
Take care!

* For the past 4 years, 50% of my shopping is done at our local Target store .
They have great gluten free options.  And an employee owned store in our area. This is where I buy out produce when the farmer’s markets or my garden aren’t in season.
But for everything else as seen in my Youtube videos, Vitacost and Iherb are my go to online stores. The other’s listed are newer places I am trying out. I would love to hear if you’ve tried any of these and your thoughts.

I will always give you my honest review of a product. True to MY personal experience, ALWAYS! Yes, that includes the good, the bad, and the ugly if I got “glutened”.
Because seriously I’m not going out on a limb if there’s any chance a product may be “gluten” ….seriously, NO ONE has time for that.🙂
