Makeup Chat: What’cha Wearing?

img_0211

Hello everyone!
Today’s post is all about the latest makeup I’ve been loving and most recently featured in my last video posted to my youtube channel, Melissa in MN.
Did you get to check it out yet? If not, you can here.

It’s the FOTD or MOTD I was wearing in the video: OSEA Malibu Review.
Two of the products featured in that video have just wowed me and quickly became  monthly favorites.

Normally I am all about the “no makeup” or “very little makeup” look.
But the day I filmed the OSEA Malibu Review video and this look was actually on my husband’s birthday.
I was having a small dinner party that evening to celebrate his special day, and decide this was the perfect opportunity to show you a little “fancy” makeup look.
So this is the look I went for.  It’s a classic nude lip with a bolder eye. Nothing crazy, but definitely more than I wear on a day to day basis. Just a classic pretty look. And I paired the looks with a side braid pulled back into a ponytail.  What do you think?

Listed below are the products I used to create this look.
Be sure to check out the video for swatches and more details about each product.
Wishing you all a happy, healthy and gluten free day!

*Currently sold out, but another lipstick I would use to achieve the same look is Audrey. It’s one of my everyday favorite nude lipsticks to grab and is almost always in my purse. It’s the best “goes with everything” lip shade.  It’s a very sophisticated neutral pink, so it goes with any skin-tone, and it that classic color that can be dressed up, think Breakfast at Tiffany’s, or worn with a tee, favorite worn in jeans and sneakers.
Followed by my third suggestion  of the shade, Oh My Guava. Described on the Red Apple Lipstick websites as, “This no-shimmer nude color has less brown than most nudes, and more pink undertones to complement your natural pink lip color. This peaceful color is perfect for a relaxed calming day. Yet, sexy and romantic enough to be paired with bold, smokey eyes at night, if you desire.
And that’s so true. Any of these three choices are a much welcomed addition to any girl’s lipstick wardrobe.
